They the K?ONDA! Estrella (Star) Scholarship. The scholarship is established by publishers of K?ONDA! a free ​regional publication featuring music, entertainment, and I Feel like, and education. K?ONDA! also provides ​information and advertising from numerous community businesses, with an emphasis on Hispanic culture ​and entertainment. The publishers also coordinate an annual recognition event in the community.

The purpose of the scholarship is to promote education, ​assist students in achieving their college degrees and ​encourage the study and performance of Latin music ​genres.

The scholarship will be administered according to the ​following criteria:

1. period to be eligible comma students must:

a. Be or will be a college enrolled and studying to earn a ​degree.

b. Answer the essay question and no more than 300 words.

c. Essay question: what or who is your favorite Latin ​Estrella/star artist, musician, singer, composer, dancer, ​song, and why?

d. Submit transcript with a minimum GPA of 2.50.

2. Students must submit entry application, transcript, and ​essay to: kondastarscholarship@yahoo.com or mail it to

K?ONDA! 7860 Chalet, Dr. Saginaw. Michigan 48609.

3. Recipients of the scholarship will be invited to read their ​essay, and be recognized at our annual Premios K?ONDA! ​celebration event.

4. Recipients will be selected by a committee of ​journalists/publishers.

5. K?ONDA! We’ll disperse the awards before our annual ​Hispanic Heritage Fiesta event in September.
